Football During COVID: A Career Interrupted
The COVID period changed the rhythm of football for players at every level. Matches, training and the ordinary routine of being part of a team were disrupted. In this video I reflect on how that period affected my career and the decisions around it.
Football careers move quickly even in normal circumstances. When a season pauses, a player cannot simply put age, contracts or momentum on hold. Staying fit is one challenge; knowing when and where the next opportunity will come is another. The video tells that part of my story in my own words.
If you were playing during the shutdowns, I would like to hear how you handled the uncertainty. The experience was different for every player and club, but it changed the path of many careers.
