Behind the Scenes With NDL FC in Liverpool
I took the camera with me to Liverpool for an NDL FC day with the players and Niko Omilana. The video is a loose behind-the-scenes vlog: conversations before the game, jokes between teammates and the little moments that do not make it into a match highlight reel.
Talking about the team
Before the action, we discussed the players who might be missing and what their absence could mean. Some of the work that helps a team win is hard to capture in a short highlight. I wanted the vlog to show those conversations as well as the more obvious moments on the pitch.
There is plenty of the humour that comes with this group. A chat about the match turns into a conversation about cameras, filming and old jokes from previous Baller League seasons. That is part of the day too: teammates and creators catching up while they prepare for a game.
A view from around the match
The vlog follows us through the venue and into Liverpool afterwards. We talk about the crowd, what we expect from the players and where to eat after the event. It is less a tactical breakdown than a record of being there with the team.
If you usually see NDL only through clips of goals or the final score, this video gives you a feel for the people around the football and the atmosphere that carries through the day.
