What Arsenal’s Match Against Manchester United Exposed
I reacted to Arsenal's match against Manchester United because it showed a problem that cannot be solved by saying the team has talented players. In a big game, the timing of decisions, the way you respond to pressure and the quality of your chances matter just as much as possession or reputation.
I look at the moments where Arsenal struggled and what Mikel Arteta needs from his team. As a former Arsenal academy player, I want them to do well, so criticism here comes from wanting to see a more convincing performance when the stakes rise. United deserve credit for the problems they caused, too.
This article reflects my immediate reaction to that match. It is not a verdict on Arsenal's whole season. One result can expose a weakness, but the real test is whether the team learns from it in the next game.
