Baller League Season Two: My Opening Matchday Predictions
On the way to the Copper Box for season two's first matchday, I made a prediction for every game. I backed 26ers to beat United and expected our NDL squad to start strongly against N5. We had been training together for weeks, with talented players competing for a place in the matchday ten, and I was confident about what we could do.
I also looked at Depo Trio against Wembley Rangers, SDS against Vision, Ruckus against MVPs and M7 against Clutch. New signings and wild cards make opening-night predictions difficult. A familiar team can have an advantage over players who are still learning each other's runs and decisions.
I did not make NDL's matchday squad that night, but I went to support the boys and watch the league closely. These were my calls before kick-off. The separate reaction video shows where I was right and what I missed.
