A Day Around Baller League Matchday 11
This vlog follows one of my Baller League matchdays from the podcast studio to the Copper Box. I was out of the playing squad that night, so I went to support the boys and show what the evening felt like from the side of the pitch.
Before the match
Earlier in the day I joined the *On the Bench* podcast. We talked football, including my return to a trial session after a short period without playing. The chat also moved through our opinions on clubs and players. Those were our views at the time, and the vlog catches the usual teasing that comes with a football conversation.
Then it was on to Baller League. At that stage I was still hoping for another chance to play before the season ended, and I wanted to be there for the team regardless of whether I was selected. The camera caught some of the build-up and the predictions from people around the venue.
Watching from the side
The game brought the usual mix of chances, arguments over decisions and noise from the crowd. NDL lost narrowly. I thought the players deserved credit for competing through an unusual line-up, and I also gave my view on what I had seen from the opposition.
For me, a matchday vlog is about more than the final score. It is the conversations before kick-off, the people who turn up, and the feeling in the venue as the game changes. This video brings those pieces together from a night when I was part of the group without being on the pitch.
